There are things we need to learn, and if we don't learn them, God sends us more opportunities, and so on. Bishop's bread, I've never heard of. Sausage balls--I'm not a fan of sausage, so have never made them. But my daughter-in-law's family puts sausage in their gourmet stuffing, so I sometimes end up eating sausage, after all. I think ...I dearly loved Sir Gawain when I read it. I think you will miss teaching, Molly, when you retire! But you're so right about grading. It's subjective, and even if you use a rubric, there's a feeling you get when you compare one person's paper against another's . . . I taught English 101 for several semesters, and it was a problem for me. I used to spend 30 minutes grading each paper. When I told the other T.A.'s, they looked at me with wide eyes, as if to say, "Really? You spend that much time on someone's paper?" Apparently they gave each one a read-through and scribbled a grade across the top. I still don't listen to music, and I still don't burn candles, tho I have 30-40 Tyler candles in a drawer. I burn one about twice a year. I love their scent, so why won't I burn them?Cathyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16900383840255608898noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-629824027867471565.post-46841951637656202842013-11-07T19:20:08.098-06:002013-11-07T19:20:08.098-06:00Beautiful.
